Hi there. My name’s Sue Ellson and I’m the very proud author of ’120 Ways To Market Your Business Hyper Locally’ which I’m going to be launching later today, the 23rd of August 2016 in Camberwell in Melbourne which is the same location I’ve launched my previous two books – my first one, 120 Ways To Achieve Your Purpose With LinkedIn in February this year and then 120 Ways To Attract The Right Career Or Business in May this year and this one is not about hyper active marketing, its about hyper local marketing which basically means marketing related to a location, a context which is more or less a vertical in a particular industry or time so it’s not just about marketing at the community level and it really aims to integrate a lot of contemporary technologies and ideas of marketing with the traditional but things that work.
You know I’m really practical and I like to make sure that anything I recommend is going to work. So there’s lots of case studies in here and examples of people who’ve tried these things and some of their stories, and I start off in this particular book with a concept of what our global village is like, I still do a lot of international business as well as a lot of local stuff and your personal context of how you are in your business, your business context and whether you should come up with a product or service first or whether you should think about your customers and make your product or service fit with the customers because we all know that customer experience is the direction that we’re heading in now, particularly with things like automation, like 3D printing, the huge amount of data that we have to go on so the way that we can market is changing a lot.
I look at understanding the market itself, your location and your presence within the market and I dive deep into specific things that you can do in the online digital world to market your business including search engine optimisation (SEO) and making sure that you’re sending out the right signals. Paid marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), social media marketing (SMM) is covered as well, database marketing, program marketing and I particularly love awards programs and accreditation and certification within your industry, public marketing, events marketing, lots of fun, food and free events hopefully coming up after this book and then media marketing, community marketing, incentive marketing and future options marketing, what might happen in the future with marketing.
