Hi there my name is Sue Ellson and I’m the author of Gigsters – Any Age or Ability Employees Experts and Entrepreneurs.
This is my fourth book and I’m super excited.
It starts off with a look at your values and then goes into your strengths and the context to help you determine what
sorts of projects and gigs that you might be interested in attracting with the use of technology in the future.
I believe the world of work is changing very quickly and your ability to adjust and learn is going to be very important and adapt to these various types of context there’s a lot of different variables that will be necessary to
adjust to in the future.
I start looking at some of the gigster competencies that you’ll need for that as well as the gigster superpowers and the goal-setting process I also look at money mastery which is extremely important if you’re going from gig to gig and you’re not necessarily going to have a reliable paycheck every single week.
It then also looks at ages and stages because at different times in your life your context and values can change and sometimes even your strengths you we might be a late bloomer and develop things later in life and then I look at some indicative gigster types so whether you’re going to be an employee an expert or an entrepreneur.
I discuss it in relation to your preferences for people, policies, variety and autonomy.
After that I then look at the different ways that you can attract those gigs through technology and then become more efficient but also overcome some of the challenges of being a gigster.
I’ve been a gigster since 1994 amd haven’t had a real job since then. I’ve actually probably been nearly every single one of these gigster types over that journey but definitely I’ve come across challenges so I’ve discussed those as well and ways that you can get support and then obviously measure your success as well because that’s really important if you’re going to do it.
Then obviously your next step which is your actions and alignment for your personal future I end off with some extra examples as well as my own case study.
