Hi there My name is Sue Ellson and I’m the author of 120 Ways To Attract The Right Career Or Business and today I’d like to share with you my understanding of the economic models in today’s society so I’m going to be going through eight of those.

These are all mentioned in Chapter 2.1 one of my book and what that means for you if you’re trying to attract the right career or business.

So firstly, the gig economy. I see that more and more people are going to be going from gig to gig based on demand rather than job to job so that could mean that you’re going to be involved in a lot of projects both personally and professionally.

The attention economy and business is going to need to successfully attract the right attention at the right time and not disturb someone’s everyday routine so if you’re being hounded by a service provider or a company for your services then at the wrong time then you’re going to develop a negative reputation and thought about those and also you if you’re in business you need to be able to attract the right attention at the right time.

Google will say that you need a website and a social media presence and you don’t want either one of those to conflict with your overall message the reputation economy so if you’re out there people want to be able to verify that you are genuine so make sure that they have that information available to be seen and also remember that whilst word-of-mouth has been so popular up until now it won’t last forever.

And even if you do secure most of your business that way you’ll still be relying on that reputation economy to secure it so people will google you and check you out online and in other sources as well the sharing economy has been a great boon at giving all of us new opportunities both publicly and professionally and combining resources from anything from cars, accommodation courier, food delivery and so on and I can see that those platforms could improve and change even more in the future particularly around the area of transport and sharing resources in that area.

The knowledge economy and I go to between one and four events per week and I seriously believe that to maintain opportunities for careers or business in the future, we have to keep ourselves up to date we need to keep learning and improving our knowledge and expertise to secure those opportunities.

The demand economy is very much driven by the data and a lot of information is now being trapped even if you’re not active on social media your mobile phone is sort of a personal tracking device that gives away clues as to things you’re interested in and where you go and what you do.

So I can see a lot more careers and business opportunities being driven by supply and demand and also the social economy so mass media newspapers and television may have influenced us in the past but in the future more social media influencers will be able to dictate trends and content the goes viral has the potential to convince a lot more people than perhaps the traditional media has in the past.

So what does all this mean well for you as an individual? I think that a lot of what happens in your life is going to be based on data that’s been collected from multiple sources and also your behaviors that you do and so this means that in the old model where build it and they will come, it’s going to change to a model where unless there is a demand for it and you know key data that reflects that and it may not happen and what it means is that we can essentially find the exact right spot for fishing for that right career or business and if you’ve got those particular skills and you’ve tailored that then you can potentially find the exact right spot to promote yourself or your business.

Ultimately you need to be very clear on your values your purpose and your priorities if you want to attract an aligned career or business, so the clearer you are on those the better chance you have of attracting that right career or business so my three books 120 Ways To Achieve Your Purpose With LinkedIn, 120 Ways To Attract The Right Career Or Business and 120 Ways To Market Your Business Hyper Locally are all available in digital format at 120ways.com or in paperback format at Book Depository.com and you’re also welcome to subscribe to this YouTube channel at youtube.com/120wayss thanks and bye for now.
